Wilcox Flats Work Party

Please join us June 30th for a work party to continue blackberry removal on the Land Trust's Wilcox Flats property. Our work party in May did a remarkable job and we hope this second work party will complete initial cutting of the blackberry in an area we will be planting this fall.

We will meet at the Land Trust office in Yelm at 9:30 am to carpool to the site. We will work from 10 am - 2 pm, with a break for lunch and goodies. Please let us know if you can help so we can bring adequate equipment and snacks.

Bring work gloves. Work boots are recommended, as are a long-sleeved shirt and long pants. We will bring loppers, two brush cutters and a rake. Feel free to bring any of these tools if you have them. Also bring a lunch. We will provide water, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and snacks.

Directions to the Land Trust office: The office is located at 701 Prairie Park Lane, Suite D in Yelm. From the main road through Yelm (Highway 507) turn northeast onto 103rd (between Venture Bank and the Shell station). Turn left into the 2nd driveway (Prairie Park Lane) which is also the entrance to the Prairie Park Hotel. Take the first left and drive around to the Highway 507 side of the building and look for Suite D. Our sign is being repainted, so look for the suite number on the door.
